City of Pittsburgh

The City of Pittsburgh has a variety of sustainability activities both complete and in progress, including: a Sustainability Commission (founded in 2008), Sustainability Coordinator (hired in 2008), and a municipally-specific chapter of the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan, Version 2. Currently, the Sustainability Coordinator is working on reducing energy use in City buildings, as well as working with community groups to incorporate green building and landscape design principles into their projects.
